When I saw this girl pop up on my screen, I felt nothing but sadness, and shame for humanity.
To treat a living soul like this, like a machine, for reasons unnecessary…. I don’t even know what to say. Usually I write a frigging essay on posts like this, but I think pictures speak for themselves.
Miraculously she survived this. Because deep down, despite the abuse, the neglect and the exploitation she faced, when activists liberated her and 63 other hens, she found a will to live.
The above is a crude translation by google, from Dutch to English, so please forgive the fragmented sentences.
However, as clearly stated several times, these hens were rescued from a ‘free range’ farm.
Please, for the sake of these innocent animals, do not believe the lies. I have already posted information on ‘Free Range Myths’ here, where I exposed Happy Eggs (the UK’s ‘most famous’ free range company) for their abusive practices.
Please understand that free-range brands don’t mean ‘humane’ or ‘ethical’.
I wish to spread this not to push some ‘vegan agenda’ but to actually point out to well-meaning people who choose cage free/free range eggs, that they are still supporting abuse. Thank you.
